When we first began our AmeriPlan® Business, Carol was on the midnight shift doing medical transcription. I was in insurance and financial services. In the past, we each had traditional businesses that were either completely unsuccessful and put us in debt or were only marginally successful. We discovered those businesses ran us instead of us running them. They also ran our credit into the ground.

I always knew there had to be a better way than what we were doing. We had each worked the "40 year plan" about half-way through and had nothing to show for it. I was looking for a business that was REAL. When I met with Mark Jarvis about AmeriPlan®, he painted the picture of $100,000 per year in residual income in 2-4 years. I captured that vision and figured Carol and I still had 2-4 years of hard work left in us. It sure sounded better than 20-40 more years of the rat race.

We started working AmeriPlan® part-time. In our second year, on a part-time basis, we reached $60,000 per year in residual income. At that point, we both quit our jobs and went full-time with our AmeriPlan® business. In the next 12 months, we had an increase of $90,000 in our residual income which put us at $150,000 a year in residual income in our 3rd year, exceeding Mark's promise that we'd be earning $100,000 per year in residual income. We are now National Vice Presidents with AmeriPlan® earning over $270,000 per year in recurring, repeat, residual income before we get out of bed in the morning. It has been life changing. We were struggling financially when our former business fell on hard times. That's when we found AmeriPlan® through a friend. We began our AmeriPlan® business, working together from home. We lived in a tiny town in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon...population: 6,000. We had no providers within an hour or more drive of our home. We didn't own a computer, let alone know how to plug one in. We didn't let any of that stop us. We knew how big the niche was for this program and what a great program it was.

Even though the friend that introduced us to AmeriPlan® quit the business, we continued and went to our first AmeriPlan® Convention after only five months in the business with only $40 to our name. We absorbed everything we saw and everything we heard. We saw regular, ordinary people, who had followed the AmeriPlan® System, earning incredible incomes. We heard the training and were inspired. We made a permanent decision right then that nothing would stop us building this business. We wanted the lifestyles those people had, the time freedom they had and the security they had. At that event, we got to spend precious time with our upline Joe and Carol Garvey. They believed in us. Joe and Carol have now become our life-long friends, mentors and coaches. We still reminisce with them about that first convention together. You see, it made ALL the difference. We came home from that event and began to put into ACTION everything we had learned. Just 4-1/2 months later, we looked up and we were National Sales Directors. After only 3-1/2 years, we were earning over $150,000/year in residual income, which afforded us new luxury cars and a new dream home. We now travel...in luxury, too... and have seen places in this world that are so breathtaking they're hard to describe. The fantastic part of it is...when we get home we've gotten paid while we were vacationing! Now that's the security of residual income. We are Dr. Bob and Carol Waterstone. I was a doctor with my own practice and my wife, Carol, was my office manager as well as being very involved in charitable work. My wife found a brochure for AmeriPlan® in a restaurant, the day after I paid $1000.00 for a root canal (and I had Blue Cross Blue Shield!!) Life was good for Wendy and I fifteen years ago. We had just purchased a lovely home on the lake one year earlier. Carolyn Miller, National Sales Director

I started as an IBO in February of 2004 part-time. I was a waitress at a 24 hour restaurant. Because I worked with the public and knew a lot of customers, I made RSD in 21 days. That same year in November I made SRSD. An RSD that I had recruited went SRSD before me so that motivated me greatly. I set my goal, and I stepped up the momentum and made SRSD. Setting my goal was key. Personally, I do well when I challenge myself.

In March of this year I got to SESD by setting my goals and working with my business partners (IBOs on my team). When you are determined, you can make it happen. It was a Team-Thing. At this point I was really pumped up with all the momentum I had and was able to move on to the greatest and the most rewarding pin Level, National Sales Director.

This ride to National Sales Director was hard work. Focusing on what needs to be done and making a business plan worked for me. I worked my business plan daily and achieved my goal: National. I want to thank my upline and my husband who supported me throughout. It's about working together as a team, and it helps when that team is like family to you.

I thought I had a pretty good life a few years back. After all, I was working for a company for 22 years as a sales manager in "Corporate America". I thought I was set for life until one Friday I was asked to come to the Managers office. I was told I was making too much money and that the company was downsizing. My whole world came crashing down; I didn't know what I was going to do. I look back at that now and am glad it happened...but I was not glad at the time. After that, I tried so many things. I tried to sell cars (not for me). I did whatever I thought I could do. I even started my own business...which had been a dream of mine. It was a nightmare and, then I woke up. I found that I couldn't keep up; I had to file bankruptcy. I lost my business and my spirit. I thought there was no hope, and I was ready to 'check out'. I lost hope in everything. One rainy day, I was very depressed and feeling really down. I went to the post office to get my mail (more bills), and on my way out, I found a card that read....."Make $2000 to $5000 a month in residual income". It was bright green and I thought to myself, yeah right, another scam. I've seen them all, but I kept the card anyway, stuck it on the console of my car and went on. Over the next couple of weeks, I kept asking GOD to send me a sign of something. Hmmmm, where is my sign? The week before Thanksgiving, I'm sitting in my car and the sun shone down on that card stuck in the console of my car. I picked it up and called the number on the card. I received a DVD in the mail from the man I had talked to, but I still wasn't sure; I was so depressed. But on Thanksgiving Day I watched the DVD and called the man back, now my good friend Dave Huddleston. I got my AmeriPlan® business started that day with Dave. I had HOPE again! And now I have friends whom I never would have met if not for AmeriPlan®. They are such a blessing to me. This journey is so awesome. I fast-tracked to Regional Sales Director (RSD) in 28 days. Then the T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achives More) came together and we're working shoulder to shoulder to help each other reach our dreams. My "Team Pay IT Forward" is within The Legacy Team, and because of them all, I made National Sales Director in one year and one day from that fateful Thanksgiving Day. I was looking to make a change. I had been working for a company that was stressing me out and I was becoming short-tempered, not my natural disposition. I knew I had to walk away. I answered an ad in the Sunday paper and set an appointment. I just added that appointment to the end of an already full day of appointments. That last appointment was with Joe & Carol Garvey. I met them at an AmeriPlan® Barrel of Cash™ event. As I watched the DVD presentation at that event, I said to myself, "I can do this, I will do this." Not just try to do it! I had tried to do other things in the past, but this time, I told myself, "I will do this." I began my AmeriPlan® business that evening. I attended the very next regular meeting at the Regional Office as well. WOW.... I knew I was in the right place. I told myself, "Even if I hadn't started the business, I would want to come to these meetings because the people here are so positive and great!" After each meeting, I could not wait to get back to the next one. I had found a real company in AmeriPlan®, real leaders in Joe & Carol Garvey, and a meeting system full of others who believed in the company and in the people. I joined AmeriPlan® because I saw the opportunity to leave a legacy for my children. At the time I was a single parent raising two young children, going through a difficult divorce, working two jobs and finishing my degree.

Like most people I was taught to work really hard, get all the degrees I can, that then I would never struggle and would be successful. I followed those rules and did just that but still I struggled with not having enough time with my children. I was actually a member in AmeriPlan® for the dental benefits before I even knew of the opportunity. I saw the increasing need for healthcare and how this plan of helping people can assist me with my dream to have financial freedom and more time with my children. I love helping people. I was introduced to the AmeriPlan® opportunity after I'd had the benefits for about a year, but for reasons beyond my control it didn't work out, so I went back into Corporate America where I furthered my studies to become a Nurse and received my Masters Degree. But, I was still thinking about AmeriPlan® and how much of a need there was, and still is, in America. I wanted a leader who was successful and found out about Ricky Flowers, National Sales Director. He was a God-send, and I knew it was destiny when I visited my sister in New York and found Ricky's gold card. (He doesn't live in New York.) So this is my second time around, and this time it's working out, less than 2 years later.

At the point when I found Ricky's gold card, I had finished my degree and was working many hours to support my family. I was determined to provide for my two children who are now 8 and 6 years old. But I came to realize that I only saw my children in the morning before they went to school and in the late night when I would wake my babies from a deep sleep at their babysitter's house to bring them home. I made a pretty decent salary but never saw my kids. What a trade off! I was not happy with that lifestyle. I wanted and desired to be with my family. My babysitter was basically their mom. So I took action…I called Ricky!

I told Ricky who I was, and we discussed his business plan and my belief that I have what it takes to do this business and that I would be a great asset to him. I knew I had a great work ethic and people skills, but I knew that if I was going to get back into the business, I wanted to work directly with him. I had heard of and had seen his remarkable track record and the success of the people in his organization. I wanted to duplicate that and understood with the right leadership, I would be successful. Within the first several months, I made Regional Sales Director (RSD), transitioned to Sr. RSD and then to Executive Sales Director (ESD).

I remarried this year and I'm doing well in AmeriPlan®. My husband Dieguito and I, together, have made it to Sr. ESD. We're looking forward to becoming National Sales Directors (NSD) and continuing to build our Dream Team. Dieguito is my soul-mate and has allowed me to work full-time in AmeriPlan®. He has 20 years of expertise in multilevel marketing and has become my partner and my mentor in our AmeriPlan® dream.

God has truly answered my prayers. Dieguito and I, along with Ricky Flowers, NSD, are in one accord to reach the top. I would be gone for a week at a time, come home and the kids would look different (they grow so fast). It was then that I decided that I had to make a change. I wanted time freedom! Knowing that I had worked my way from being a sales person on the floor through a Regional position provided me with the confidence I needed to start my own business. The first two businesses I started failed. I had used up my savings, a good portion of my 401K money and my confidence. Earlier I had found a business card with information about a dental program. I had left it on my desk for several months and forgot about it. I went into the insurance field and was cleaning my desk one day when I found that card again. I made the call to Joe Clarke, joined AmeriPlan® and in just over a year had become a Senior Executive Sales Director. I now have the satisfaction of building my own business that has on-going income that will provide for me and my family in the years to come and even when we take vacations. We are Tim Pishdad and Cynthia Watkins of Richmond, Virginia. Both of us have a background in the US Army. Because of AmeriPlan®, we now have the time freedom we've only dreamed about before. Here's our story. Tim retired from the Army in 1995, and I will retire this summer, 2006. Tim was introduced to AmeriPlan® while at the Dry Cleaners waiting to pick up the outfit he'd wear when asking his “girlfriend” (me) to marry him. A gentleman in the Cleaners (NSD Ricky Flowers) saw something in Tim and decided to give him a card. Tim had an interest in owning his own business, but never wanted to be tied to a “brick and mortar” business like his father was. Tim's father owned and operated a greenhouse (rather, the greenhouse “owned” his father). Tim set Ricky's card down for awhile and didn't pick it up again until we were married. He went to a business briefing and liked what he saw: a way to help people with something they could really use, plus break away from the 9-to-5 rat race. He brought it home and discussed it with me and I didn't want to have anything to do with it. I encouraged him, though, to go ahead and start the business, but I fully intended to continue focusing on my military career.

Shortly after Tim started his AmeriPlan® business, I was deployed to Korea for a one-year tour. Before I was deployed, Tim convinced me to attend the Fall Leadership Conference in Orlando. I didn't really want to go but decided to go hang out at the pool while he attended the training sessions. While there, I had the opportunity to meet quite a few successful AmeriPlanners who were just ordinary people with a dream to change their lives. Up until that point, I'd seen the checks Tim was receiving and saw how the AmeriPlan® benefits made a difference in people's lives, but I still wasn't convinced that I should work with Tim to really make AmeriPlan® work for us. That conference brought about a change in me. I realized, "If these people could be successful, Tim and I could be, too."

Once I returned from Korea, Tim and I decided that we would truly work the business with the goal of bringing, first Tim, and then me home from our fulltime jobs. Tim left Corporate America in the summer of 2005. Tim was selected to attend the all-expense-paid 2006 Leaders of Tomorrow Conference in January 2006. This summer, I will end 20 years of honorable service to this great country of ours and will transition into working fulltime with Tim in our AmeriPlan® business. My name is Kelly Planzo I am from St. Louis Missouri. My husband is a chiropractor and about 7-8 years ago we owned our own chiropractic office. My husband became a provider for AmeriPlan®. It was a great program to offer to our patients because, as you know, we could not "legally" give a patient a cash discount without it being considered a hardship case. So this was a legal way we could offer our patients a cash discount. The Program worked and our patients loved it. At the time, I did not know there was a business opportunity with AmeriPlan®. We sold our practice and forgot all about AmeriPlan®.

He assured me that we could do this business and that it was a two to four year journey to reach National Sales Director making a residual income of $100,000 per year.

We embarked on our journey listening to Dale Brooks tell us how to do the business the AmeriPlan® way and three weeks later later we had been promoted to RSD and earned $1,170.

Also, at the Regional Office, we listened to Mike McDonald telling new IBO's that a minimum one year learning curve was to be expected. It was exactly that for us and now we are truly working toward our goal and expect to make that goal within the next year. Hi, my name is Jackie Forde, I relocated to Hiram Georgia almost 3 years ago from Brooklyn NY, to offer my son a better life. The reason I started this business was for an extra income, because I had pay the note for an SUV I recently purchased. He is now 9 years old. We've walked through some of life's challenges. Trevon was diagnosed as developmentally challenged. He took physical & occupational therapy for four years and speech therapy for the last 7 years. He's had lead poisoning; tubes for hearing loss; and he is on medication for ADHD. I am thankful that it is not any worse.

My son is the most important person in my life, and I have cried many tears for him. I firmly believe GOD gave me this child for a reason. So as I began to put my WHY in perspective, I knew!!! GOD gave me this opportunity for a reason as well, and that reason is to be a blessing to those that have been such a blessing to my son and me. Life will try to get in your way… that's just the way things work, but we've got to keep focusing on the vision (WHY), because there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I am a Harvard MBA who left the corporate world and moved to Griffin, Georgia to take care of my mother who has Alzheimer's Disease. Although I have worked in management for companies including General Electric, Exxon, and Marriott, nothing has been quite as rewarding as working with my teammates and customers as a part of AmeriPlan®. The great sense of satisfaction this opportunity brings in helping others, and also in working toward a common worthwhile goal as a team, has been tremendous. What I would like you to know about me does not stop there however. If not for the grace of God I would not be here today.

Early in 2006 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer and was critically ill. I lost 40 pounds, had chronic fatigue, constant fever, extreme anemia, and night sweats. Three quarts of bloody fluid had settled around my heart. My spleen where the cancer had attacked had to be removed after swelling up to the size of a football (it's normally the size of a fist). My recovery after 8 rounds of chemotherapy at which time I went into full remission was labeled by my oncologist as "...a miracle case." Today, I have regained all my weight and my blood counts are normal.

Now, everyday is a blessing from God and it is my goal to help as many people in a positive way as I can with whatever time I have left, and to be a Christian servant to others. AmeriPlan® came along in my life as I recovered from cancer and has allowed me to realize that goal while building a future of financial freedom for myself and my mother who I continue to serve as a caregiver. Finally, the experience of working in an atmosphere with other Christians like Joe and Carol Garvey has been uplifting and has given me a vehicle to live out my faith within the framework of the AmeriPlan® system. I am a Clinical Psychologist by profession. I graduated with all of my credentials in 1986 and was licensed to practice psychology in 1989. I have worked in college teaching, community mental health, and private practice. In 2005 I enrolled in Coach University to obtain training in coaching healthy, normal people to be abundantly happy, successful, and prosperous. I also am working on becoming certified as a coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Throughout most of my professional life I never considered doing anything in network marketing. I think I was harboring a prejudice that it is "one of those pyramids." I was not happy with my career, because Clinical Psychology in private practice is usually paid for by managed care insurance companies, and they don't pay us our full fee. Furthermore, sometimes they don't pay us. I was looking for a dental program when George Ramsey, now my upline, starting talking about his residual income. When I attended a business briefing there were several aspects which attracted me: These included that although I had made a decent middle-class income as a psychologist, it is not residual income. If I don't work, I don't get paid. If I get sick or take a vacation, I bear the cost of paying for doctor/medicine costs, paying for hotels/restaurants/travel, while I make no money in my practice. I did not have a decent retirement account nor disability plan. Residual income seemed the answer. That "pyramid" prejudice crumbled like dust as I saw that it is legal, ethical, and honest. My husband Chuck and I have been married for 14 years and have two very active boys, a 12-yr. old and a 9-yr. old. Both boys are very active in school and karate. My oldest son loves music and computers; my youngest son is a 4-time National Karate Champion.

I was a Life and Health Insurance agent and my longtime friend and retired Naval buddy was an Ameriplan® RSD. I was frustrated because a lot of the people I was trying to enroll in my Health Insurance had ongoing conditions that pretty much excluded them. It wasn't helping me or them and my buddy said, "well send them to me because we have no restrictions; I can sign them up".

I didn't understand, but of course he gave me a DVD about AmeriPlan®. I didn't immediately look at it because I was so busy at the high profile Agency I was working at. As time went by I was still encountering the same problem as well as the high cost of Health Insurance.

Finally, I looked at the DVD and started asking questions. My RSD buddy invited me to a business briefing.

Hi, my name is Misty Bannister, before AmeriPlan® I was a benefits coordinator working the "rat race" or "9 - 5" (whatever you want to call it, I saw no way out).  I live in Texas and had been in Banking for over 20 years.  I raised 2 daughters alone during that period of time.  I remarried in 2000 and had brain surgery in 2004.  Since the surgery I have been suffering migraine like headaches and other side effects. This is when I decided I needed to stay home, because going to work every day with a headache was very hard to do. My husband Gene was paying all the bills but, I have always been an independent person and wanted to make my own money.  I started looking in the paper for a part time job, one that I could do from home. I had worked many part-time jobs and ran booths in an effort to have a home-based business that would provide enough income for financial freedom over many years. My Name is Nichole Gabriel. I was introduced to the AmeriPlan® business by my dear friend Gee. She introduced me to the business about 1 year before I decided to get started. I wish I had started sooner! I had been frustrated by businesses that were not a perfect fit for me and that limited the amount of income I could make. Hi, I am Heather. When I started AmeriPlan® it was out of sheer frustration with the so-called "real life". You know the one: go to college for 4-6 years; get a college degree, then hand over the rest of your life to punching a time clock. I was going to college and raising my baby boy at the time I started AmeriPlan®. I had this whole life figured out, until I found out that I have Fibromyalgia. Then my whole life changed. Sure, you can still live a 'normal' life: work 40 hours a week and try to balance it with family life, you'll just be extremely exhausted. This was not the way I wanted my life to be, My child was too important to me, to be there for him only a few hours a day. But if I didn't work that meant my husband would be staying on the road truck driving until he retired. This, also, was not how I wanted my life to be. So I set out to find a way to have the life that I want...that's how I found AmeriPlan®. So here I am today, on the road to the life that I want. My husband and I are working toward the freedom of the open road for us and our kids. Our goal is to be able to live out on the road in an RV, for a little while with our child or children by then, home schooling them. This will be made possible with AmeriPlan®! Hello, I am Michael Pendergist. My wife, Sharyn, and I have been married 30 years. We've known each other since 1955. We grew up across the street from one another, never dated in school, ran in to each other again in '79 after we had both gone through a divorce and were married 3 months later and the rest is history.

My background is in the packaged food industry. I was a Divisional Sales Manager for Nabisco Foods, Regional Director of Sales for Health Valley Foods, National Sales Manager for Weider Nutrition International. I was President of The Allied Food Club of Kansas City '90-'91 and on the Board of Trustees '90-'95. I was Divisional Sales Person of the Year with Nabisco Foods in '89. My dream was to retire at 55 which I did in July of 2001. What happened on 9/11 threw a monkey wrench in my retirement plans, but I decided to take at least 3 years off before going back to work. I re-entered the workforce in 2005 as an Account Executive with Washington Mutual Bank's Wholesale Lending Division. In '08 Washington Mutual Bank withdrew from wholesale lending and I went with Plaza Home Mortgage in Denver, CO.

I'm building our AmeriPlan® business to have something that is 9/11 proof. Something that I have control over as to how much I want to invest of myself and how big I want to grow. I don't want to have to worry if my company is withdrawing from the market and I am going to have to start all over again. I have compared the cost of dental insurance against the cost of the Dental Plus Plan® and hands down AmeriPlan® is by far the better consumer value.

My journey to AmeriPlan® has been a long time coming, and since I've finally found the perfect business to work from home, I'm more convinced than ever that residual income will be the ideal way to survive in this distressed economy.

Over the last 36 years, I have been in business for myself. After working at telephone sales for the Yellow Pages, I decided to never punch a time clock, explain why I was late, answer to any one, be controlled by set hours, only have over 1/3 of my paycheck left after deductions, and most of all, have to drive downtown and back every day, purchase business clothes, pay to park, buy lunch, stay late for meetings, beg for certain vacation dates and only have Saturday and Sunday to relax and enjoy my family and my home.

In 1972, I invented an artificial fingernail process called 'My Nails'. By 1978, I had 52 locations in 19 states and I became the first woman ever to win the Ohio Small Business Person of the Year award. I was invited to Washington, D.C. to attend a Rose Garden Reception hosted by President Jimmy Carter and Senator John Glenn. 'My Nails' placed in the top 5 innovative small business concepts nationally and I was named one of Ohio's Top Ten Business Women, was published in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Money Magazine and Success Unlimited, and appeared on Good Morning America, AM Chicago, PM Magazine and numerous other media.

In 1988, I decided to expand my horizons and become a Realtor. By 1994, I became a Real Estate Broker for the MacAllister Real Estate Group (www.bonniemac.com). I had gotten so used to working at home (most of the time in my pajamas), I knew I could never work for anyone else again, and being a self-starter, my business soared, my Brokerage grew, and my income was over $200,000 annually.

As everyone knows, the economy has thrown the Real Estate industry into a tailspin. My income plummeted to $38,000 last year, and I was racking my brain for something to do which would offer me the opportunity to make a good residual income working from home. I saw many of my Realtor friends working at Kroger, Macy's, Wal-Mart, etc., to earn extra money. That was NOT an option for me!

And so, I became an Officiant (www.macallisterofficiant.com) in order to supplement my income. My friend who introduced me to AmeriPlan®, Syndi Shy, is a caterer and wedding planner, and I began marrying her Brides and Grooms in 2008. The Officiant services has grown into a good, steady little side business, but it will take 2 more years to get it running at it's full potential. In the meantime, the house payment and utility bills keep coming in. I knew I needed a vehicle which would make me serious money, and still be at home to work my other two businesses.

Syndi called me in April and introduced me to AmeriPlan®. When I realized the income AmeriPlan® Sales Directors were making and the opportunity for an unlimited potential, I threw off the gloves and dove in! My goal is to make $250,000 a year, which will take me back to where I was “before the bomb dropped”.

I became a Silver Regional Sales Director within 1 month of joining the company, working only part time. I now have some wonderful people on my team and more people joining my group.

I live in Orlando, Florida, but I've also lived in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. My friends call me Lee. I am single and I have two wonderful, cute dogs named Gus and Samantha.

I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list is relaxing on the beaches of the Caribbean, taking Cruises on some of the world's largest and most extravagant ships as well as exciting week-end trips to Vegas. For my last vacation, I went on this amazing eight day cruise to South America. I had the most exciting and marvelous time of my life as I was able to see the Panama Canal, swim with sharks in Belize, and visit the most amazing rain forest in Costa Rica.

I feel that Goals and Ambitions are motivating and important in a person's life. Some of my goals have been to travel the world as well as to ski the Swiss Alps.

I've been fortunate to accomplish many things in my young adult life as well as vacation and travel all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico. I have also been able to make my own hours by working from home since graduating from college in 2002.

I'm living "My American Dream" of owning my own business. It has given me the opportunity to live life to the fullest. I have been able to set my own schedule and spend time with my family and friends who mean the most to me.
